Japan Ice Dessert – Amazake

Amazake is a traditional Japanese beverage made from fermented rice, like sake. While its name means sweet sake, it’s actually alcohol free. It’s made by mixing steamed rice and water with kome koji, and allowing it to ferment and develop natural sugars.  Put the Tanio Amazake Ice in the freezer overnight and you can enjoy it with your favourite ice cream or you can have it by itself.
