Afuri Ramen is a small chain of ramen restaurants that started in 2003 in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. Their claim to fame is their yuzu-infused ramen broth. Yuzu is a citrus fruit that resembles a cross between a lemon and a tangerine.

The non-spicy and tangy style soup base was heavenly. It was a lightly salty and flavorsome broth with the distinctive flavor of pork. What makes this special was the distinctive yuzu flavor that added a complementary citrus flavor. This pleasant flavor was further enhanced by the dry yuzu zest that was included as loose garnish
