The “Aged Soy Sauce Ramen Meat Soba” is Marugen Ramen’s trademark dish. Every time a customer places an order, a pot of the soup is manually made using pork and topped with Japanese ingredients including thick, highly pleated noodles, grated yuzu pepper, and green onions. Aged soy sauce gaeshi, the main component of the soup, is a concoction of three different kinds of thick soy sauce. The “Meat Soba” is a special treat that can only be found at Marugen Ramen thanks to the harmony of all of these components.

A cup noodle version of Marugen Ramen’s renowned “Aged Soy Sauce Ramen Meat Soba” was developed to celebrate the establishment’s 20th anniversary. A blockbuster product that was developed over the course of around 1.5 years.

The soup perfectly complements the straight, thin, wheat-scented noodles that are evocative of the noodles at the restaurant, and it properly conveys the aroma of soy sauce, pork flavour, and sweetness that characterise the meat soba. In order to replicate the flavour of the restaurant’s noodles, pork belly is added as a garnish. The meal has a delicious scent of rich, aged soy sauce thanks to the optional “oil with aged soy sauce” addition.
