Warabi Mochi (Original)

Highly recommended! Warabi mochi is a chewy Japanese confectionary usually prepared from bracken starch and coated with roasted soybean powder before being drizzled with brown sugar syrup. Sometimes it is called the transparent mochi. The plant in the photograph below is warabi, which is a widespread weed in rural Japan and China.
