Jiabao Preserved Plum

Chinese preserved plum, also known as dried plum or salted plum, is a popular snack in Asia. It is made by salting and drying unripe green plums in the sun or in a dry, well-ventilated area until they are dehydrated and the moisture content has been greatly reduced. The plums are then coated in a mixture of salt, sugar, and licorice, and left to marinate for several weeks until they become a dark, wrinkled fruit with a tangy, salty-sweet taste.

It is also commonly used as an ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine due to its supposed digestive and detoxifying properties. In addition, preserved plum is sometimes used as a natural remedy for sore throat, constipation, and other ailments.
