Tanio Amazake Ice (Sakura)

Amazake is a traditional Japanese beverage made from fermented rice, like sake. While its name means sweet sake, it’s actually alcohol free. It’s made by mixing steamed rice and water with kome koji, and allowing it to ferment and develop natural sugars. Cherry blossom leaves were added to this amazake to enhance the sweetness.  Put the Tanio Amazake Ice (Sakura) in the freezer overnight and you can enjoy it with your favorite ice cream or you can have it by itself ice cold.
